Sandra Hakanson obtained her law degree from the University of Manitoba in 2004, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2005. Before joining Embarkation Law Group, Ms. Hakanson was practising immigration law and civil litigation in Kelowna. She has represented clients in various levels of Courts and Administrative Boards. Her immigration practice provides service to businesses who wish to bring in foreign workers, as well as individuals or families who wish to make Canada their temporary or permanent residence.
Ms. Hakanson is a member of the Kelowna Bar Association and the Immigration Section of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). She also serves on the Executive for the CBA Will & Trusts Okanagan Section. Ms. Hakanson volunteers with the MS Legal Advocacy Program and is a Board Member of Habitat for Humanity, Kelowna.
